I went to look at my first van today. I knew I didn't know a lot about vans or any vehicle in that case and that proved to be true.
Luckily I had my cousin Mike who willingly came along and looked it up and down. He even had a handy little device that told us there was a sneaky problem with the engine that you couldn't tell just by looking at it. Thanks Mike, you da man! Yes it was 100% a murder van. Here is a picture of one from Google for those who somehow don't know what I'm referring to, but also so I can figure out how to add pictures to blog posts.

Ok ok ok. So today instead of being productive and cleaning up the piles of stuff that my life has slowly become, I spent a bunch of time watching videos be people who live in their vans. Also a lot specifically about how to convert your van so that it's good to live in. I am feeling woefully unprepared. Something exciting however is that a bit ago someone messaged me saying I could potentially buy their van when they reach Toronto in March!!! (^ that should have probably gotten it's own blog post at the time but I'm still bad at this so whatever.) I just emailed them with questions about the size and state of their van. hopefully they are still up for selling it to be because a I mentioned I am feeling horribly unprepared and am realizing that I am planning on leaving for this trip fairly soon. I accept that I will most likely move into the van and begin the trip with it not in a finished state as I would like to be on the road no later than May. |
