DISCLAIMER: I know nothing about beer this is all opinion based. Also it’s long, like super long.
I would like to start by thanking you for challenging me to find the best SOUR beer as opposed to IPA, lager, ale, or other variety. Not only was it the only kind of beer I actually enjoyed drinking when I first started this, it helped open me up to the world of beer. This in turn made me a bit of a beer snob, but that’s the price you pay I suppose. I was not much of a beer drinker before this, and it took me some time to stray from that, therefore I have stopped this challenge in Canada as opposed to North America. I’m sure I will try more sours in North America but it’s hard to keep track of after a while. On top of that I have found that not that many companies brew a sour beer, but more on that later. Beers by Province (note I did not travel to any of the territories): Newfoundland: Gahan - Blueberry Ale
I Didn’t find any sours here. I did try this Blueberry beer thanks to a passing suggestion from Baily, and nope it was not for me. If I remember correctly I thought it was to “muggy”. Nova Scotia: Hard to find a Sour here but I did find a couple – only 1 pictured and therefore only 1 described Haha! Stillwater Artisanal - Tangerine Haze This beer I was warned had “little floaties” in it, and these were bits of orange pulp and cinnamon from the brewing process. This was a nice light, juicy beer and I would drink it again. Good work!
