Nice weather means building can continue, so heres an update on what's going on now. The walls are pretty much finished excluding a small bit around the back which we are in conversation about finishing a bit differently than had originally planned. This means right now we are trying to get the sanding finished up, but honestly this is super tedious and quite tiring - especially on the ceiling- so we but that on pause. We have some kind of oil for the walls and ceiling too, but need to finish sanding before we can put it on. My mom has kindly offered to sew the curtain divider separating the front and back of the van, so I guess that's being done now. I'll see it when she's done. Cam has build 2 boxes to cover the wheel wells and I believe he will be making another to cover another metal bit which pokes into the van. I MADE THE BED!!!! It still needs legs but it's made and is fully functional! It will actually rest on the wheel well box on one side so it will be super supported which is cool. This will get it's own video soon. Cam cut a bunch of wood for the kitchen, so that project can get started soon. We have the flooring material, and just need to purchase the underlayment which is going under it. The floor was a sick find at Cam's apartment, his landlord was throwing it out and it's super cute and I'm excited to install it and show you all! Before we can install the floor we will are going to finish the walls so we don't mess it all up with sawdust, tools, and oil, I bought stuff for the whole plumbing setup, this will go in as we work more on the kitchen. Also since having the van I have helped move things for people 5 times, and have another couple coming up, so that's been handy. AAAAAAAND That's all folks!

Hey hey hey, It's been a while so I thought I should fill you in. Since the insulation post, and then subsequent video things have been slow. Like real slow. If you are from southern Ontario you know we had some crazy weather recently which left us SOL. We weren't able to make any progress that week, luckily we were abel to get some stuff done before, and after. BEFORE the storm hit we installed the... SOLAR SYSTEM!!!! I am hype on having solar power. It means we are able to get off the grid for our energy needs when it comes to anything from charging laptops, cameras, and phones, etc. This means we won't have to reply on having a power source nearby when we do actually start rolling, and won't have to use the van battery for any of this stuff risking leaving us stranded. I am in the process of putting together a video on this, I'm just slow. Since the storm we were able to get in a couple days and work on the interior. The ceiling is now installed, the walls are almost finished and Cam is just working on tidying up some of the ugly electrical stuff that is hanging out all around the back doors. Future videos will have more information on all this and how things are going. But ya, that's where we are. Also I just put in a large amazon order which includes the pump sink faucet and I'm a little to excited for it. ***BEFORE YOU START READING*** If you don't want to read all this I will be making and posting a video soon about it all.
Hey folks, So as it turns out trying to get insurance for my SVRV adventure is a bitch. Looking into other van options is also a struggle. jysugskuglshrlhrr;s Help. |
